Facade of the new ENI headquarters in Milan designed by Morphosis Architects. Work done for Bodino Srl (2018-19).
For this job I took care of:
- completely rebuilding the 3D model of the ‘Orange’ facades, consisting of 8009 standard panels and 5960 folded panels, to use it as control geometry within a BIM model;
- generating the “flattened” version of the facades (taking into account the extra areas of the folded edges), task performed by writing custom commands for Rhinoceros (in Python language);
- nesting the flattened facade elements in order to evaluate the purchase quantity of the material;
- drawing the geometry of the structural frame 3D model for beam dimensioning calculations, task performed by writing custom commands for Rhinoceros (in Python language);
- modeling and rendering various facade elements.
